Breast Lift

If you have breasts that just don't have the same kind of firmness and shape anymore, due to weight loss, pregnancy or age, don't be upset. Breast lift surgery can ease your problems and restore your peace of mind.

Breast lift is a surgical procedure done to return the breasts to a more youthful and perky shape and position. Breast Lift is also known as mastopexy, and may be combined with other procedures on the breast such as breast augmentation (augmentation mastopexy) or breast reduction (reduction mastopexy).

The aim of mastopexy is to restore the proportion of the bust by increasing the elevation of the breasts, bringing the nipples to a higher position, and reducing the size of the areolae . It is also done to achieve symmetry when breasts are disproportionate in size and shape due to congenital defects or after surgery.

Breast Lift Techniques

Periareolar mastopexy

Also known as concentric breast lift, this method is perfect for women who want a flatter, rounder breast shape, but is appropriate only for mild sagging. This technique involves circular incisions around the areola.

Vertical mastopexy

Also known as short scar breast lift, it is ideal for mild to moderate amounts of sag. Here, a vertical incision is made descending from the nipple to the inframammary crease or fold.

Anchor mastopexy

It is a common surgery, only required for women with large amounts of sag or large breasts. This technique leaves an inverted T shaped incision from the nipple down to the inframammary fold.

Augmentation Mastopexy

Essentially a breast lift with a breast implant, this procedure can dramatically restore your bust appearance, especially if you have lost a lot of weight and have a lot of excess skin.

Reduction mastopexy

This is a basically a breast reduction surgery, along with a breast lift procedure to restore the position and shape of the nipples and areolae. It is a common procedure.
